SwingSlapp’s analyzer provides a robust set of tools to help you review and break down your golf swings in detail. This guide will walk you through opening a video in the analyzer and using the main tools available to enhance your analysis.
Opening the Analyzer
- Choose a Video
- Go to the Video Library tab and select a video to analyze. You can choose either My Videos (your recorded swings) or videos from the Model Library.
- Open in Analyzer
- The selected video will open in the analyzer, giving you access to a set of tools for detailed review.
Using the Main Toolbar
The analyzer toolbar is filled with tools designed to help you evaluate every aspect of your swing. Here’s a breakdown of each tool and its functionality:
Toggle Show/Hide Toolbar
- Show/Hide Toolbar: Tap this button to show or hide the toolbar at any time.
Draw Tool
- Draw Button: Opens the drawing tools for adding shapes, lines, and angles to your video.Within the Draw Tool:
- Color Selection: Choose a color for your drawings to make them easily visible.
- Drawing Tools: Select one of the following tools:
- Line: Draw straight lines.
- Rectangle and Circle: Outline specific areas.
- Clock: For checking the position of your clubhead.
- Ellipse: Draw ellipses to mark circular paths.
- Arrow: Draw arrows.
- Drawing Controls:
- Precision Drawing: Use two fingers for more precise positioning of lines.
- Angle Display: When drawing a line or arrow, the angle will display at the top and bottom of the line for enhanced analysis.
- Editing Options:
- Delete, Undo, Redo buttons are available at the top of the screen.
- Double Tap to Undo: Quickly remove the last drawing with a double-tap.
- Exit Drawing Mode: To exit drawing mode and access other tools, tap the Draw Button again.
Note: While in drawing mode, other tools like Hide, Angles, Flip, Zoom, and Compare will not be accessible.
Additional Tools
- Hide: Toggle this button to show or hide all drawings on the screen.
- Angles: Enable or disable angle displays for drawn lines, giving you more precise data on line angles.
- Zoom: Activate pinch-to-zoom to get a closer view of any part of your swing. You can also reposition the video to focus on specific areas.
- Compare: Open an additional video for side-by-side comparison, either with another of your videos or one from the Model Library.
Tips for Effective Video Analysis
- Use Precise Drawing: Utilize two-finger drawing for the best control when adding lines and shapes.
- Enable Angle Display: Displaying angles for lines and arrows can offer insights into swing planes and club angles.
- Compare Your Swing: Using the Compare tool with a model video or a previous recording of your own can highlight changes and improvements.
