Capturing a Video
Step 1: Open the Record Tab
- Go to the Record tab on the main navigation bar to access the camera.
Step 2: Allow Camera & Microphone Access (First-Time Users)
- For first-time users, the app will request permission to access your Camera and Microphone.
- Tap Allow to grant access, which is necessary for recording videos.
Step 3: Start & Stop Recording
- Tap the Red Circle button to start recording.
- Once you’re done, tap the Red Square button again to stop recording.
Step 4: Explore Recording Options
SwingSlapp provides several options to customize your recording experience:
- Flash: Toggle the flash On or Off for better lighting.
- Timer: Choose a timer setting to delay recording start:
- Off (no delay)
- 3 seconds
- 10 seconds
- Overlay Options: Use these overlays to help frame your shot:
- Grid: Adds a grid to the screen for alignment.
- Center Cross: Marks the center of the screen.
- Front or Back View Overlay: Ideal for consistent setup, use these to align yourself with common golf stance angles.
- Auto Open Analyzer: Enable this option to automatically open the Analyzer page after recording.
- Select Club: Choose the club you’re using to add specific details to your recording:
- Driver, Wood, Iron, Wedge, Putter, None
Step 5: Benefit from High-Quality Slow Motion
- Automatic High Framerate: SwingSlapp uses the highest frame rate your device supports, optimizing video quality for slow-motion analysis. This allows you to closely review each movement of your swing.
Tips for Optimal Recording
- Use a Tripod: Keep the camera steady to capture a clear, stable swing.
- Choose the Right Overlay: Experiment with different overlays to find the one that best helps align your shot.
- Enable Auto Open Analyzer: This setting lets you immediately review your swing once the video is recorded, streamlining your analysis process.
